About S&D Horseback Riding
Sunshine and Daydreams is a local, private horseback riding stable in Norco, California, also known as Horsetown USA, founded by Sonja Trefethen in 1990 as an alternative to traditional rent string operations. Located at the edge of the Hidden Valley Wildlife Preserve, we offer a peaceful, nature-filled setting for horseback riding in Riverside County.
Our horses have been thoughtfully recovered and given a second chance at life, creating a one-of-a-kind trail riding experience you won’t find anywhere else in Riverside County. Every experience is individually guided and tailored to each rider’s comfort level, with a focus on building confidence, understanding horse behavior, and developing strong horsemanship skills.
We maintain a conservative riding policy to ensure the safety of our riders and the well-being of our horses. While we respect the experience of advanced riders, all guests are asked to follow the guidance of our trained instructors. Our horses are carefully trained with consistency, and maintaining that structure helps prevent confusion, reduce stress, and create a safe, enjoyable ride for everyone.
