Summertime in the Riverbed

Just because it's hot outside doesn't mean you can't have fun! Every season offers something new to discover at S&D Horseback Riding. Summer means early mornings and late evenings which means more time for you to horse around outdoors.

The bamboo tunnels are at their most spectacular during the summer season. Witness the towering green canopy of giant sugar cane and fruiting grape vines. Most flowers are in full bloom and attract massive butterflies including Tiger Swallowtails and Monarchs. Keep your eye out for adorable cottontail rabbits and speedy roadrunners which frequent the trail often!

As always, S&D recommends you book your ride early for the best riding times. During summertime, the ranch opens as early as 6:30 am and closes as late as 8:30 pm depending on the rise and setting of the sun. With so much time in the day, there's no reason you shouldn't be riding the trail on California's most beautiful landscape!
